Each year many lists are published that contain the top travel destinations  in the world and their yearly visitors.  In the wake of swine flu and a slow economy it's may be time to visit tourist attractions here in the USA.  The five best places to visit this year are as follows. 

Times Square, New York City: New York is known as the city that never sleeps, with Broadway shows, shopping, clubbing, and more going on around the clock.  New York also has daily and yearly live recordings with people on the street.  If you time your visit right you could find yourself on National TV.  No other place on earth has street shopping gone to such extremes.  Anything you want to buy you will find a cheap deal on it here in this not so sleepy town. 

The Las Vegas Strip, Nev.:  Nicknamed sin city this is the Mecca of gambling.  Here state laws force casino owners to stay play a little more fair.  All slot machines must pay out 75 percent of what they atke in.  Instead of natural beauty the city boasts the most complete neon art you will ever see and is home to the largest neon sign in the USA. 

National Mall and Memorial Parks, Washington, D.C. : The National mall is one of the most beautiful parks you will find here, with sprawling trees and flowering shrubs on over 1,000 acres of land.  At any time you can camp out under a tree, play Frisbee with friends, or sit and have a picnic.  You will also find 19 admission free museums to visit each show casing the vast history of our country.  

Faneuil Hall Marketplace, Boston:  This city is rich with history.  Faneuil Hall has been used by many of our countries great political leaders through its life.  Samuel Adams rendered his world famous independence speech here to local colonists.   It has also been a shopping hub for many generations and is responsible for drawing the largest number of tourists to the city.
